Mulindi Factory Company Limited is seeking to recruit a Field Systems Administrator based at Mulindi Tea Factory in Gicumbi District.
This exciting positionwillprimarily be responsible for maintaining and supporting the company's core infrastructure and systems including but not limited todatabase management, WAN/LAN administration and optimization, infrastructure setup and configuration as well as support to change management initiatives in the company to ensure smooth transition to new systems and processes.

Key Responsibilities include:
· Maintaining reliable, efficient and effective LAN/WAN connectivity and ensuring optimal performance of these networks
· Ensure
that factory servers are always administered and maintained as per ICT
policy and procedures in place to guarantee service availability at all
times
· Implement
change management mechanisms and procedures to facilitate smooth
transitions to new systems, applications and processes
· Provide
Network security services; including reliable data backup systems,
business continuity mechanisms, ensuring a virus-free network
environment by implementing timely and continuous updates of anti-virus
files and continuous monitoring of all systems in the network
· Perform
software maintenance procedures which include software upgrades,
patches to software applications, code compilations and software testing
and deployment
· Design
and implement LAN extensions and structured cabling as and when a need
arises in accordance withcompany policies and procedures
· Develop
and provide documentation of all network services including network
topology, file structures, cabling layout, disaster recovery and
business continuity procedures
· Provide
support for the entire ICT infrastructure at the factory i.e. hardware,
software and networks and ensure their optimal performance
· Provide user support on all office applications and all ICT related matters
· Liaise
with ICT- Services section on generating training needs analysis for
factory staff, establishing training needs and organizing training
programmes
· Ensuring
that preventive maintenance processes are conducted on all ICT
equipment Monitoring and coordinating all existing and new ICT projects
and initiatives at the factory
· Assist with procurement of hardware and software to ensure value for money
The successful candidate must have:
· At least 5 years working experience in the ICT field
· Bsc. in Computer science/Information technology/Computer information systems or related field
· Excellent hands-on, technical and problem solving skills
· Fluency in spoken and written English and Kinyarwanda
· Ability to assess technological changes
· Ability to work in a team
· Ability to communicate clearly and tactfully
· Ability to work effectively with people of different cultural backgrounds
· Excellent management skills
· Excellent interpersonal skills
· Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Candidates who possess the following qualities will be at a distinct advantage:
· ICT Certifications i.e. CCNA, MCSE etc.
· Working knowledge of administration of a Citrix environment
· Working knowledge of Informix database management systems
· Demonstrate a sound understanding of VOIP/Mobile Communication technologies
