School gets boost with Sh3.2m furniture

Musoma Urban CCM executive committee member Vedastus Mathayo has donated 50 desks worth Sh3.2 million for Iringo Primary School in Musoma municipality.
Speaking at a public rally here yesterday, Mr Mathayo said that he decided to support the school after realising that it was facing an acute shortage of desks.
He explained that he learnt of the situation from the school headteacher, who also requested him to intervene and help in any way he can.
He asked other well-wishers to donate desks to this school and others in order to help improve academic performance in the education sector.
He urged residents of Musoma to put aside their political ideologies and instead focus on development activities for the betterment of the people.
Mr Mathayo explained that it was difficult to have sustainable development if all the time wananchi of Musoma were only talking about politics instead of focusing on development activities.
Speaking at the rally, CCM Mara regional chairman Christopher Sanya said his party was concerned with the coming elections saying they were well prepared and would win.
He warned CCM members that only those who qualify to vie for different positions should do so in order to ensure that once they participate in an election, they emerge victorious.
